Kanda Sayaka died suddenly after falling from the upper floor of a hotel in Sapporo
Actress Kanda Sayaka (35) died after falling from the upper floor of a hotel in Sapporo, Japan, on the 18th. The Hokkaido police are investigating the possibility that she may have tried to commit suicide. According to officials, Kanda-san was found lying in an outdoor space on the 14th floor of the hotel around noon on the 18th with blood on her body. She was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state, but was later confirmed dead.
On that day, Kanda-san was scheduled to appear at the noon performance of the Sapporo performance of the musical "My Fair Lady" at the Sapporo Bunka Geijutsu Gekijo. Since Kanda-san could not be reached until around 11:00 a.m., Asanatsu Manato (37), a former top star of the Takarazuka space troupe who plays the main character Eliza in the show's double cast, hurriedly substituted for her. The staff and co-stars were told that Kanda-san had fallen and was currently in a serious condition, so the main cast members other than Kanda-san were also changed.
The show, which started on November 14 at the Imperial Theater in Tokyo, was supposed to travel around the country and reach its final performance at the Hakata-za Theater in Fukuoka on January 28 next year.
Kanda-san was born in 1986 to singer Matsuda Seiko (59) and actor Kanda Masaki (70). She made her debut as a singer with the song "ever since" in May 2002, and made her full-fledged acting debut with the movie "Dragon Head" in 2003 and became popular for her looks and singing voice, which she inherited from her parents.
After that, she shifted her focus to musicals and other stage performances, and in 2002, she gave a great performance as the Japanese dubbing artist for the main character, Princess Anna, in the animated film "Anna and the Snow Queen"(T/N Frozen). Her performance of the song "umarete hajimete" in the movie was highly acclaimed and made her a big hit. She was also chosen to play the role of Maetel, the heroine of the musical "Galaxy Express 999", which will start next April, and her work was thought to be going well.
In her personal life, she announced her marriage to actor Murata Mitsu (44) in 2017, but they divorced in 2019

[+47,269, - 7,320] I read that she was in a critical condition.... and she passed away
Her work seemed to go well but she must had some big troubles. That makes me really sad
I hope she gets to rest in peace
[+25,449, -2,758] It's so sudden I can't believe it. I'm shocked. It's a shame because I think she was really talented and would go further in the future
[+24,015, -3,127] Just the other day, I saw Anna and the Snow Queen 1 and 2 on TV.
Watching them again, it was great movies.
I think it was amazing for her to be able to dub such a big movie, to have her skills recognized by everyone, and to just live her life in a daydream, but I wonder if she thought she had to move forward or surpass that.
It would have been nice if there had been someone to support her.
I'm sure she's been through more than a normal person's lifetime of hardships because of her background and other things, and it must have been hard for her.
I would like to say thank you for your hard work to her, and thank her for the inspiration she gave to the children and adults.
[+21,269, -2,748] Too sad...
I wonder if she had any problems that she couldn't tell others about....
I wish she hadn't chosen suicide....
I pray for her soul.
