Michieda shunsuke and Meguro Ren star in the October drama series "Kieta Hatsukoi" as high school classmates

Michieda shunsuke (19) of Kansai Johnny's Jr. "Naniwa Danshi" and Meguro Ren (24) of Snow Man will double star in the TV Asahi drama "Kieta Hatsukoi" (Saturday, 11:30 p.m.) for the October season. Michieda says, "I'm excited to see how this drama will go over with the viewers, but I'm also a little nervous. I'm really looking forward to starting filming,"  while Meguro said with enthusiasm, "I'm looking forward to building a relationship with Michieda-kun and having fun filming".

Based on the manga of the same title by Hinekure Wataru, which is serialized in "Bessatsu Margaret". A romantic comedy about high school student's love between boys, girls, and friendship.

Michieda is a member of Naniwa Danshi, making their CD debut in November. He appeared in the "Tokyo Girls Collection" making the most of his 1 meter 79 height, and has appeared in a number of high-profile movies, including TBS's "Ore no Ie no Hanashi". Meguro is a member of Snow Man, who ranked first in Oricon's total sales ranking for the first half of the year, and is a model for the men's magazine "FINEBOYS" with his outstanding 1 meter 85 figure. His popularity is so great that when he appears on the cover of the magazine, it immediately goes into heavy print. It will be interesting to see what kind of chemical reaction will occur when the tall and handsome duo, the leaders of the next generation of Johnny's, work together for the first time.

It was the first time for both of them to try their hand at a romantic comedy. Michieda, who has read the original story himself, said, "I hope I can play the role with an honest heart, interpreting it in my own way without destroying the image of the fans of the original story.

This will also be Meguro's first time playing a student. "When filming starts, I'm looking forward to experiencing the feeling of 'the youth' that I have not felt in a long time, on sets such as classrooms," he says.

(T/N I skipped the later two paragraphes as it's not really related to the drama)

[+1,780, -284] Lately, I've been seeing more and more names of celebrities I don't know.
I guess I haven't kept up with the times...

[+737, -127] I wonder if explaining Johnny's to a man is like explaining Gravure Idol to a woman

[+444, -106] There are so many people who make comments as if the public is not interested in them when they are just not in their personal database.
If they were really unknown and there was no demand from the public, they wouldn't be on TV or write articles about them.
I don't think there's anything wrong with not knowing about one celebrity or another, but I wonder about the people who go out of their way to comment negatively on the article.
There are so many people like that here that I really doubt their character.
Don't use Johnny's or the Korean Wave as a way to relieve your daily frustrations.

[+338, -44] It's not that I don't want to watch it because it's Johnny's, as long as the acting is decent and it fits the original story, I'm fine with it.
Also, this is not a BL show, it's a comedy that starts with a guy mistakenly thinking he's in love with a guy, so I hope the BL fanatics don't get upset that it's not like that. (lol).

[+296, -79] My wife loves the original manga and has it at home, but when I asked her what she thought when she saw the news about the live-action version in the morning, she said "It looks good, they're making the characters look like the original. I'm especially happy that Ida-kun is going to be played by a johnny's boy who was said to look like him before! I saw a picture of him with short hair, and he looks exactly like him"
.I've read the original because of my wife's influence, but the guy who plays Ida with the short hair did indeed look a lot like him. I'm wondering who's going to play Hashimoto Mio.

[+176, -53] I haven't read the original story, but it seems to be BL-like, but not really serious.
It seems to have a lot of beautiful cuts and comedy.
I'm sure fans will enjoy it.
Good luck!
